Cutie Patooties

Here's a couple pics from this morning of two of the cutest kids of the season! We had so much fun!! And I had a hard time picking the proofs to use, so there are almost fifty of them in the proof gallery. I just couldn't help myself :)

NILMDTS- Perinatal Hospice Booth

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the NILMDTS booth during the Perinatal Hospice Conference today at the Ramada. It was great to see so many people who could understand a bit better the type of service that NILMDTS offers. There were also a number of people who had used the service before, so it was heartwarming to see again how valuable this type of photography really is in their lives.

Another reminder for professional photographers reading this- there will be training at Innovis Health on November 24th. Please visit the NILMDTS website to register! We have a demand in the area to add more volunteers! Also, if you are from outside of Fargo-Moorhead and would like someone to train in your area you can also contact me about that and I can help you get something setup.

Pictures with Santa!

Just a little reminder that I'll be doing the pictures with Santa for the Festival of Wreaths again this year on November 22nd. Its a fundraiser for MeritCare and a really fun event having breakfast and pizza with Santa that day. The 5x7 prints will be $10 each this year and I will also be posting the images online for additional ordering- they can also be used for your Christmas cards (cards must be ordered by December 5th) I hope to get the regular prints in the mail the first week of December to allow time for reorders.

So, just a heads up on this event as you do need to purchase tickets for the event because there is reserved seating for breakfast and lunch.

shew- LONG day!

It was a really long day at Women's Showcase today. It was great to see so many of my past clients as well as meet new people. Thanks to everyone who donated to the American Cancer Society and got chair massages, over $200 was raised!

Keep watching my website and blog, I'll be adding some really new fun things over the winter including new products, packaging and specials.

Now, off for some quality time with the family and well needed rest! I'm taking off the next couple of days, watch for more session previews later in the week.

NILMDTS- Emily's service

I attended Emily's service this afternoon. She has a lovely location and right under a tree. Good news is that her brother is doing really well and getting stronger by the day. I expect you'll be seeing pictures of him here in the near future as I'll do pictures of him once he gets home.

Ethan's First Birthday

Ethan is one. Its unbelieveable to me. I've done his pictures every month starting shortly after he was born. Here are a couple of his pictures from this evening with him enjoying his cake :)

Women's Showcase Shameless Plug!

Just a reminder to stop by my booth at Women's Showcase this weekend (FargoDome from 9-5pm on Saturday) I've invited a massage therapist to give free massages to guests visiting my booth (any donations will be given to the American Cancer Society.) So stop by early to make sure you can get your mini-massage!

Also, I'll be doing drawings a little differently this year. Anyone who books their appointment during the show OR purchases a gift certificate of any amount will be able to draw from the prize bucket right then and there. Prizes include a photo purse, coffee table books, free sessions, and gift certificates ranging from $10 to $100! Mention that you read my blog and you can draw from the prize bucket without booking or if you do book there you can grab two prizes!! Be sure to mention the blog!!! Of course the little catch is that all the prizes/gift certificates are for future sessions and cannot be used for prior sessions or applied towards pending orders ;) Nice try though LOL

I will be located across from Hair Success again this year. The floor layout has been flipped around, so while in the same spot near Hair Success its on the opposite side of the building from last year. See you there!

NILMDTS- Marissa

I was invited to take pictures of chunker-poo Marissa earlier today. She was full term and weighed in at almost 10 lbs! A beautiful little girl whose heart just couldn't keep going. Thank you to her parents for allowing me to photograph your little sweetheart and my continued prayers for your family.

NILMDTS- Hayden and Emily

I had the honor of being present today for the labor and delivery of two wonderful babies. Big brother Hayden seems to be doing well for a 32 weeker. Emily was a fighter as I left almost two hours after birth she was still hanging on. Having anencephaly we knew that Emily would be a NILMDTS baby a couple months ago. Mom contacted me regarding that and I offered to doula for her as well. This was my first twin birth and mom did fabulously. Here's a quick shot of mom in labor just before babies were born.

Miss M

I've had the joy of taking pictures of Miss M a number of times now and she just gets cuter (and more fiesty) with each session :) Our session today was pretty quick as I got called away for a NILMDTS session, so we'll get a few more of her on another day- but here's one of my favorites from Thursday (and don't worry mom we have GREAT family shots too!)

Mike & Lori

Here are Mike & Lori. Lori is one of the most beautiful people and SO easy to photograph. We got a couple simple maternity shots as well as a few fun ones to use for their Christmas cards. Here are a few of my favorites.

NILMDTS- Photo of a Photographer

We got a call for NILMDTS today and photographer Abby Tow from Classic Photography came for her first session. Baby Richard's mom gave us permission to post online (typically I wouldn't post pictures from this type of session) he has Trisomy 18 and is a wonderful beautiful baby. Mom and Dad are super nice and were a pleasure to work with.

Pumpkin Patch

Here's a couple of my daughter this morning. It was really early in the day and pretty cold, I hadn't planned to take any pictures but just randomly decided to shoot a couple.

Fun Family Fotos

This family was a real pleasure to photograph. The girls were very patient through the chilly weather- with the bribe to go to McD afterwards of course! As the sun went down we quickly moved to one last location to get a few more great shots. Here are a few from their session.

New Laptop!

Whoo hoo! There's just something about a new computer that makes me so giddy! I ordered this baby a couple weeks ago with all the fancy upgrades I could afford. I can't wait to show it off during client previews this week. And a little teaser of course... its purple :)

Kelsi

Here are a couple from today with Miss Kelsi. WOWZA, does this girl have a fun CHEEZZEE smile! Having lost her first two teeth in the last couple weeks it was fun to try to capture that milestone! I had the pleasure of photographing her a couple years ago too (mom says that was the last time she had professional pictures taken- but this girl knows how to pose!) It was fun seeing her again.

Amber and Chance

Talk about a charming couple! Wow, these two just look perfect together. I look forward to their wedding. Here are a few of their engagement pictures from the 4th.

Taya

Here are a couple teasers of sweetie Taya from Friday the 3rd.

Welcome to my new blog!

Ok, so I have to be honest and tell you that I haven't been very good at blogging regularly before. However, I am going to make at least a little effort to keep this updated for y'all! My goal here is to put a few previews up from sessions throughout the week so families can see them before we do the in person proof consultations.

And of course to give you updates on happenings, such as promoting Amara! She has been my assistant at weddings for the summer and this fall will begin taking some of my portrait sessions. She has been training side-by-side with me this summer and I feel like she's ready to start doing some sessions on her own. All of her work will be edited and reviewed by me to ensure that her style and image quality matches my high expectations. So, when you book your next session be sure to specify if you'd like to give her a whirl!
